The former actor and right-wing activist was found guilty of libel and ordered to pay £180, 000 in compensation as part of a wider conspiracy, he claims, against white men who are found guilty of crimes that they in fact committed. “People discriminate against me all the time just because I’m a white man with racist opinions,” he said outside the court yesterday, “and now I’m forced to pay compensation for a crime that I committed and got found guilty of — a clear example of anti-white racism in the witch-hunt culture wars of today.”
The libel case was brought against Fox when he accused Simon Blake, a former Stonewall trustee, and Crystal, a drag artist, of being pedophiles (not in a homophobic way!). This was in response to them calling Laurence a racist after he announced a one-man boycott against Sainsbury's for celebrating Black History Month — which Fox claimed is a form of anti-white racism.
Fox tried winning hearts and minds during the trial by calling the Black Lives Matter movement a “grift” and “a Ponzi scheme”, but his attempts were unsuccessful.
At press time, Fox insisted that criminals like him won’t stand for being treated like criminals much longer.
